They should have kept Lonzo and the pick instead of getting Graham, but I just don't know how bad that whole Lonzo situation was.They gave up a pick in the Graham deal too… they just gave up a valuable pick and a veteran role player for another two guard who is too small to guard 2s.
They are lucky they hit it out of the park with Jones. But imagine they kept Lonzo and the treasure trove of picks… I get why they traded Holiday. It’s just you can’t be impatient if you do that move.
As for McCollum, I don't know how to fully judge it yet. Ingram and Jonas are in their primes pretty much, and Zion's injury has crushed that team. McCollum will give Jonas and Ingram a ton more space to work with. More than Hart was providing.
If Zion comes back 100%, that team is going to be very hard to guard. The biggest issue with the Pelicans has been Zion not being what people thought he would be. Hard to blame the GM for that.
