Trade deadline discussion

It just kinda sunk in that now that we have JC the rest of the season and added NAW and I have zero hope of any JB minutes.

At least we didn't do a dumb move but always a little disappointing not to get something done. I understand because we have like nothing to offer and the owner clearly has grabbed the purse strings... can't make gold outta straw.
Sending picks and a young player for a player that actively makes the team worse when he plays and might stonewall further development of worthy players is dumb.

I know what you mean, I think, but also kinda don't.

Anyway, Clarkson better get his god damn **** together.

Sometimes the best trade is no trade. I know that doesn't feel good in this " I know more than everyone else" culture.
Unlike other years I think we really did try... Not that DL didn't try but I don't think he's as aggressive as JZ and Ainge. There was potential for us to make a terrible deal. We actually do have more depth than in other years. I get it.

Jazz PR very lucky Ingles got injured. Could you imagine what they’d be having to say to justify salary dumping him when healthy?
That deal doesn't happen with him healthy. Maybe a better deal happens, but not this ****-*** deal.

After two consecutive years of embarrassing themselves on defense, the only thing they did to "address" the situation was 35 year old Rudy Gay LMAO. Clown franchise.

Not if we move Forrest to a roster spot.

We have 13 roster players now. We can convert Forrest and sign House.
I mean we could sign him but then what if Lebron gets bought out and we don't have a roster spot for him?

Also, having a full 15 man roster would cost and extra few dollars in luxury tax... if they did that they would need to sell the franchise because they'd be broke... is that what you want?

Also, he won't play 25 minutes a night... so if he isn't going to play you don't sign him... I mean injuries never happen in the nba... it isn't something you should plan on.

No matter how Locke, Jones, Clayton and others will try to sugarcoat this, the Jazz's number 1 goal for the deadline was to acquire a wing defender and they failed to do so.

We are going to live and die by the three ball. If it's falling, we win. If it's not and/or our defense is awful, we lose.

Have to hope we catch fire in the playoffs.
