Trade for Jabari Parker

I love the idea if Parker here. Been saying that a while now. This trade makes so much sense:

I would love Burks over JoeJ, but doubt they do that. So we pay the luxury tax next year but keep Exum, Hood and Parker. In 2019, Rubio and Burks cycle off.

I still think you'd have to throw in Hood or a 1st to get the Bucks to go for that, but it would definitely solve their LT issues.

If all it takes is Hood or a first then that is a worthy as hell gamble (I think the price would significantly higher, at which point, I start thinking harder).

I'd be shocked as hell if the Bucks weren't ready to gamble on Parker, especially in this environment (tighter money).

The risk is just too high for me. Franchise crippling contract, still don't think you beat the Warriors. I'd prefer using cap space elsewhere.

I would probably add Bradley and call it even. He is a promising big man who is on a long term, low pay contract. If they lose Favors and JoeJ in the offseaon, they still have him and all that cap space.

Nothing we do will compete with the current Warriors outside of hiring Tonya Harding to make things happen in their locker room.

Someone sneezed and he blew his ACL for the second time.

Parker's impressive stats have been abnormally steady for three years. His minutes went up, and scoring went up with more minutes but otherwise his stats are consistent, with a little uptick in several areas. What does that say about his potential for growth... not getting better or just coming off injury?

Please what has Parker done to earn a MAX contract. Let's ignore the fact that he has blown out the same knee twice. The love for Parker is almost at the level of Jimmer on this board. The Jazz need players with talent which Parker has but they also need players who don't get hurt every year. We already have Exum who can't stay healthy and now people are ready to MAX a guy who has a bad knee.

You mean besides averaging 20ppg right?

You can't really score at a higher rate than he did... The guy was scoring 20 ppg.

Exactly. Set the timeline back a bit, use cap space to take assets. Jabari is a perfect complement to Gobert and an ideal player in the game today but the risk is much higher than the reward.
