Trade - Marquis Teague

Why do we appear so desperate for a PG? Are we afraid not having a PG will harm Corbin's plan to take us deep into postseason?

I haven't read the thread, sorry.. just thought I would weigh in as I have seen the kid play in person MANY times and know him personally.

Not very good. More of a poor shooting combo guard. Fast, fairly athletic (but far from a bledsoe), and strong.. but that's about it.

Poor shooter, not real impressed with his bb IQ, average passer/court vision.

A 2nd rounder would be fine but not overly exciting.

Trading Rush for Teague (if it was possible) would be a ****ing disaster. Anything more than a future 2nd rounder is too much.

Yes, yes, yes!!!
Rush is unbelievably undervalued here. He can shoot. He can defend. He isn't selfish...
This man can play.

Actually Rush would not be possible to trade as it has not been 6 months since he was dealt from GS. Forgot about that.
IIRR, he would be tradeable straight up. The only limitation re-trading players is a player acquired with another player in the same trade can't be dealt again with another player within 6 months. He can be traded on his own at any time. Further, although the trade with GSW brought in multiple players, the transactions may have been separate, and I suspect they would have been, meaning there are no limitations on re-trading any of the acquisitions.

Having said that, I wouldn't trade Rush anyway, he's the only actual player with value we got in the trade.

This. He's not undervalued by me, I've wanted him since he was trying to choose his college out of HS.

I think we all agree here that we want Rush to stay, or if we do trade him to get something really good out of it. We're just going through trade possibilities. It looks like Teague has improved from last year, and could be a good back up. I mean I'm no scout and I've only seen like 6 minutes of highlights and SL. Soooo.

Is it pronounces "Mark-us" or "Mar-keyss". Makes a difference in whether we should trade for him or not.

We have to keep him...we need players with points in the hands like him!

iawtp

It is obvious that most posters here haven't seen much of Rush, or payed attention, before he got injured and before we traded for him. Rush was developing into the real deal. Solid defensive game and dare I say even strong perimeter defender, solid, if not explosive, athleticism, great shot, with deep range, not just toe on the line 3's, and an across-the-court offensive game with ability to finish at the rim and hit the mid-range curl the jazz like to run in addition to long ball. He has good court vision and awareness and good BB IQ. He had basically an entire season derailed by injury, and while it is possible he won't come back the same, if he does and he continues on the same track he was on before he could be the steal of the deal. I'm not saying he was the next D-Wade or anything, but I for one am very excited to see what he can do when he gets out there full-bore.

I'm seeing Andre Miller as being signed to Denver's squad for $9.6 Million over the next 2 years...

Hmm. I'm probably wrong then. I swear I read somewhere that he hadn't been picked up. It must have just been people wanting to trade for him?

Maybe. I dunno.

Andre would be awesome on this team. Perfect vet to help the young guys gel.
