Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I've been watching the nba draft for quite some time and this is the first time that I've never heard the commentators from ABC or ESPN mention the Jazz all night. lol How sad is that?
Wait till 2024, when we will again be entering the draft without any draft pick. Yesterday was just the beginning

Yes, we are at the cusp of the future we mortgaged for Conley. The mortgage is due, and it is going to absolutely suck to pay it.

He didn’t have time to do draft prep… so he will do it later I guess. I’m telling y’all… dude quits in the next 12 months citing health and family reasons… he didn’t sign up for this project… got talked into doing a quick home improvement project and now it’s a full scale remodel.
So Ryan is going to short-sightedly alienate the player who is loyal and long-term in favor of someone who will be gone soon. At the same time, he's going to push JZ away in favor of Ainge, who's also leaving, and then Ryan will have no Rudy and no JZ and he'll be tasked with a rebuild on his own. His going to make himself GM.

Whispers… he already is

I find it odd that there were so many rumors and still rumblings but nothing was done on draft night.

The jazz have also remained silent after the draft. There isn't a rule that we had to finalize a trade on draft night. Could it still come? Sure. But man o man was last night a real pooh dollar experience.

All sides stood their ground. We had our asking price, and they made clear what they were willing to pay. Unfortunately, we will probably have to lower our expectations if we want to make deals.

Teams spend a lot of time and energy on draft prep. I feel like teams wanted to see the draft through last night, and the KD/Kyrie uncertainty just led everybody to holding their cards and selecting. I'm pretty certain that the trades are coming, but we shall see.

The picks they got are low quality though. I’d have rather had the 11. They all have protections and some might also not convey and become second rounders. They also gonna sign Brunson and then be reluctant to put two small guards together. We getting the Heat pupu platter
I wouldnt say they are that low quality. Not great quality, but picks are picks. All of them will convey at some point.

We might not start the rebuild off with a blue chip, but we can get a lot of pieces to help us get there.

I guess… they also going after Kyrie and Brunson so not sure Donovan is top of mind… had we marched him out there and said we were willing to discuss it then it could be different.

I doubt they actually get Kyrie.

Getting Brunson might make them want Mitchell more. It moves their timeline up and they would be more motivated to add an All-Star. Brunson/Mitchell/RJ isnt ideal, but they can play those 3 as starters.

Aside from Donovan, Rudy, and Jordan Clarkson, we have 73 million dollars on shooting with some other dwindling skills. None of which the league is salivating to get these players from us. That's disheartening. We got to improve the performance of the supporting cast.

I am all for getting a player like Matisse Thybulle and go all in on more defense and put a dent in the approach that we need shooting all the time. And who knows, Matisse shoots 79% from the free throw line, maybe he can develop a good average on his 3 point shot.

Here's a super long hight reel. Geez, there is a ton of activity from this guy. It's endless. Jalen Brunson against that? If he doesn't shoot well...so put him on the floor when Rudy is not on the court and have them overlap when you need to put the clamps down.

I agree. NY is doing the things needed to make a run at a big 2023 trade (Donovan or D Murray) IF they remain patient.

If they can find a way to convince the Lakers to take Randle, Rose and/or Fournier for Russ, they could be major players next summer.

But they will probably make some knee-jerk reaction and sign Brunson or trade for Kyrie.
