He's getting 37 million. That's a lot of money and he's 31 years old with limited offensive value. If you really had to compare him to someone of the past, I think we would all agree, it would be Dikembe Mutombo. Look what Atlanta got for him from Philadelphia?1. Gobert is not the one with the glaring flaw in the playoffs. It’s team and individual defense from the rest of the team. Gobert is the only one who consistently gives effort team wise and individually.
2. He doesn’t get played off the floor. Gobert more than holds his own on the perimeter vs. smaller quicker players. He’s actually our best one on one defender unfortunately. The jazz haven’t done **** to build around Gobert. A proper build around Gobert gets you 60 win seasons and title contention.
I disagreed. He got played off the floor. He just wasnt that effective in either of those series for a max cat. I didn't get that vibe from Mitchell who has elevated his game in the playoffs for most of his career.
