Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Mitchell is better than you make him out to be. He's a legit, dynamic lead guard. He just can't carry a franchise. But in his defense, he's not playing with anyone who can create much for themselves. Put him next to a Jaylen Brown or Brandon Ingram, and he'd look like he's in his element.
Did I say Mitchell wasnt those things?

He just sucks *** at defense, is a ****** leader, and doesnt make players around him better. He's a scorer, one of the best in the NBA, but that's all he does.

Yes, but he's also a defensive specialist who can't score outside of 3 feet and can't post up a guy 6 inches shorter.
He can if you get him the ball on time in good position and don't just throw it into him 10' from the rim...

Oh, and if the team made any effort to practice these plays during the regular sesaon to get switches and makes these opportunities happen rather than just use them for our selfish ball-handlers to take terrible shots.

A 3 teamer I daydreamed up:

Utah Out: Donovan/Conley/Gay
Utah In: Russell/Kennard/Batum/McDaniels/#19/'24 1st/'26 1st

MIN Out: Russell/McDaniels/'19/'24 1st/'26 1st
MIN IN: Donovan/Gay

LAC Out: Kennard/Batum
LAC In: Conley

Could be split into a pair of deals, but I put it together as 1 to make the end goal easier to see.

Russell/
Kennard/Clarkson
Bojan/Royce
McDaniels/Batum
Gobert

As the main rotation, try to bring back House for depth, add #19, I'd be fairly happy with that roster going into next season, probably look to unload either Juancho or NAW to ensure ducking the tax.

I just listened to David Locke's podcast. It was weird. He went on about how he likes Terry Rozier (of all people) and that he likes Rozier's contract long term. He suggested the Jazz could trade Bogdanovic for Rozier. Then he said that Rozier wouldn't fit with the Jazz because he's small and he's like a poor man's Donovan. Then at the end, he reiterated that he likes Rozier "if the Jazz make trades." He's almost implying that there's a possibility that the Jazz would trade Donovan this offseason--i.e., Rozier would be a good fill-in for Donovan if the Jazz move him.

That's the first time I've ever heard someone associated with the Jazz even go near that suggestion. It's enough to make me wonder if a team near the top of the draft recently made an offer for Donovan.

Jazz wouldn't move Donovan for this package.

Does anyone think it's plausible the Jazz could make another Donovan if they traded Donovan?

Meaning, how many rookies in this class do you think could put up 20 points on average efficiency of a team gave them 17 shots a game?

I think Ivey and Davis definitely could. I'd give Mathurin, Jaden Hardy, Terquavion Smith, and Branham a chance.
