How is Crowder better? Juancho is the better shooter and defender.

Crowder/Juancho have the same career 3P% but Crowder averages almost 2x as many 3PFG per game and has shot 10% better from the FT line.

Juancho has also had a negative DBPM in 7/8 years, lol.

We are MUCH more likely to get under the tax than to use the TMLE to get further into it.

With the way the Warriors are going to spend (I think)... the tax distribution next year will be a record amount. I just don't see Ryan saying "let's bypass 40M in savings to improve our 7th/8th man over what we could get at the minimum". Given how disappointing Rudy Gay was I'm going to say Ryan will be really hesitant to pull that lever.

We can get under the tax by waiving Hernagomez.

Not by that alone, though. This is where the NAW deal is completely problematic.
