Yeah, a lot of rebuilds are very dependent on luck. Do you get the no. 1 pick when Oladipo or Anthony Bennett is in contention for it or when there is a Zion/LeBron/AD type in the mix? Or when drafting at 5, can you find a sucker or two to pass on Luka and a third one to take your trade up offer? But yeah... luck plays a part in it, but it's still the best way to acquire generational talent for a small team like the Jazz.This is year 3… they were a 4/5 seed in the bubble and almost beat Houston 2 years ago. If they hit on Chet or any of their other picks they come out the rebuild with Chet, SGA, Giddey, Dort, a high pick in 23, cap flexibility and a crap ton of future picks… they didn’t even get that much luck. A top 5 pick in this year’s draft should net a great building block.
