trade thread: Jefferson+Marvin+GSW for Boozer+Butler

This thread is stupid. It does not take in account what it would mean for our future.

1. Bringing Boozer back is terrible idea on many levels. This isnt NBA 2k. Much more goes into having someone on your team than just stats and money.

2. What the hell are we going to do with Butler when his rookie deal is up? We have to be very careful of the salary structures and the timing of them. It would be better for us to use the GS pick on someone that will have a rookie deal longer than having Butler would. Its of great benefit to have good help that is on a rookie deal. Its for the same reason that you wouldn't want to draft 5 top ten picks from the same draft. Because inevitably you would have to get rid of some of them, if you drafted really well. In fact, it would be better to just exchange our picks(at least the GS one) for a future pick, so that we could employ cheap help for when the team is peaking.

One day 80% of jazzfanz wants off the Kanterwagon -- our third-overall pick. The next day our upcoming 20th pick is worshipped as though it will blossom into a sure thang realdeal.

Ummm. No, no, no and no. And this is coming from a guy that thinks Boozer has gotten an unfair rap around here. I actually wanted to move Jefferson for Boozer (Al, that is). Terrible idea.

BTW, I don't support this trade, either. But, it is a scenario I can envision as realistic, and it would definitely make our team a lot better. To crap on this idea and spout off about the promise of draft picks and someone else's money is silly talk. When you walk away from an opportunity to flip expirings for good players, you have to have better reasons. The only good one I can see, is the promise of a top3 pick, and even then there's ****loads of risk (the biggest being that we could suck hard and still not even get our guy.... but maybe we would, and maybe he'd bust or get hurt, etc).

Chicago isn't going to trade butler for Williams and Jefferson. Do yall smoke a lot of crack in Utah???? That's a total lopsided trade for you guys. I love bbball talk but the trade yalls come up with is funny. Maybe Indiana will trade you George for Hayward and kanter... Wait yoall would never do that because those 2 are future hall of famers rght

LOL.. nice back-peddling NAOS.

We see right through you bro.

My ideal scenario is that we get the number one pick. I see that as increasingly unlikely, so I started pondering how to make the team better. This idea came to mind. I posted it. I guess I also branded it on my soul, right Bevis? right Butthead? Ok.

I guess you have a hard time batting around ideas for the sake of batting around ideas. How many times today have you been reminded how stupid you are? At least once.

It's an idea. I don't have to own it with my soul. Stfu.

Some people like batting around with good ideas. Some like batting around with bad ideas.

Everyone's different I guess,.... I should be more understanding in the future.

For everyone's sakes, let there be better ideas come to YOUR mind next time round.

I've decided I want to turn this thread into one about how Julius is so hungry to play SF that he wants to eat Trey's arm sleeve.

Discuss....

So when you have a bad idea and make a thread its just "batting around ideas". But when its someone its someone else its deserving of a tongue lashing. Interesting.
