Sweet! He goes from a horrible shooter to just a mildly bad one with the same bad assist and rebound averages than last year! TO VICTORY!!!

I want to believe Dala, I do, but I just cannot bring myself to embrace the hope on Burke.

Dude if he averaged those #'s that would be very good shooting for PG's.

If he can shoot 43/37 on 6-8 shots a game I'll be happy with him as the backup. Unfortunately, I think he'll lose his job by ASB. I had such high hopes too.

Didn't you know? PGs going into their third year is when they make their big jump.

It seems unlikely he will improve his shooting or his ability. Its not like hes young, motivated and hard working player. We should hate him for shooting so much last year like the coaching staff told him too.

Do you think his court vision and BBIQ will improve as well? How damn hard is it for a point guard, at mid court, running a 3 on 2 fast break, to see an open player waving his hand at the 3-point line? But Burke, because he was told to carry the scoring load by his coach, knew it was his job to drive into the paint against two defenders and throw up a prayer that wasn't answered.

He's never going to get bigger ,more explosive ,or quicker and this is going to continuously lead to the same results.

And the thing that always pissed me off the most ...was how bad he was in defense at the top of the key, Kanter was a poor defender but Trey Burke was a major cause and effect to Kanter taking sole blame by the fanz for the Jazz defense .....whereas I always saw Burkes assignment attacking Kanter after blowing by the stuck in mud defense of Trey Burke

Trey Burke's best value is as a trade asset in the draft before his value plummets to Kanter levels. If moving Burke helps them move up a little in the draft and free up cap space to chase a free agent, then I'm all for it.

Give me Myles Turner and enough cap space to sign DeMarre Carroll and it's worth risking that he turns the corner elsewhere.

His athleticism has not hurt him, he was able to get into the paint just fine at the end of the season. He struggled to finish fairly easy layups. Plenty of pgs are his size and athleticims that do just fine. If he starts making his three with consistency and finishing the easy shots he will be fine. His defense was also greatly improved at the end of last season.

I'd say his trade value is considerably lower than Kanter's already. If he has a future in Utah, it's as backup for no more than 15 minutes a game. If his role is any bigger than that, he should replaced.

If Exum improves his offense at all, he needs to be taking more of trey's minutes. Those jazz fans who believe Burke is going to break out are betting on the wrong horse.
