how many titles do they have? How many trips to the Finals?

So are you blaming Nash and Paul for not getting their respective teams to the Finals? Even if you are that still doesn't change the point of the comment. I'm not saying you can or can't win big with your non super athletic PG. I'm simply saying a guy doesn't have to be the biggest or most explosive to be considered to be at the top of that position.

If 5 years from now if Burke is the consensus best PG in the league will it matter that Nash or Paul never made the Finals?

Like Kanter he was recovering from an injury. A broken finger on a players shooting hand where a pin was placed can be kind of a big deal to a point guard.

I think I remember reading that Trent's finger never fully healed and that it did cause some problems. He seems like a guy who won't let that stop him though.

No, he did not. Dude ranks 109th of 122 rookie guards who played 1000+ minutes since 1999/00 per basketball-reference.com: LINK

Whoa
Ouch

He is very underrated among Jazz fans lol. He will be an all-star in this league.
Funny how people say he can't shoot. He had above-average FG% for a rookie year. Not to mention he took those mid-court shots at the ends of quarters which hurt this FG%. Besides he got 90% FT ffs.

GVC is checking your work people, step it up. You can't get away with throwing crap on the wall to see if it sticks any more.

Trey is not going to be an All star. If he had never broken his finger he still would not become an All star. Curry did not make the All star team. Do you know what an All star is? Do yourself a favor and rank the starting pgs for all the teams in the WC. If you can rank TB anywhere near top 2, now or in the future, you are delusional.

Agree. Trey may sniff the top-15 at some point; BEST case is he's at the bottom of the top-10. You could get away with that if your team had a Kobe or LeBron. But Utah - in the absence of a superstar - is going to need near all-star talent at every position. I don't hate Trey, I just think his ceiling isn't high enough for what Utah needs. That said, I'm not advocating trading him this instant. Jazz need to have a better replacement lined up for that to happen. Kind of like what NJ did by trading a package including Harris and Favors for Deron. Maybe one or two years down the road we can trade a couple of assets to improve a starting position, whether that be at PG or some other position.

I see him as a Derek Fisher type player, no overwhelming athletic ability, never great, never an elite point guard, never an all-star, but a serviceable role player and capable of hitting big shots. You still need players like this on a championship caliber team...
Damn man. Just damn. I think Trey can definitely show better than that.
