Ah yes, gotta love the Daily Caller. FWIW AOC was correct, and Homan spent his time ducking her questions and coming up with false equivalences. But yeah, she was totally "left speechless" lmao.

What I meant was, she didn't address the point of them seeking asylum legally.

That was the only reason I posted the video. That and Wes had questions about it and so did I. Please don't turn it into anything else.

B) what would you do with hundreds of thousands of immigrants rushing the border monthly? There are not enough resources to handle this ****.

There are no options that do not involve ripping families apart or put kids in jails?

My understanding is that the law as passed by congress is such that asylum seekers don't have to seek asylum at official border points of entry, Trump tried to change this policy via the DOJ, and it went to the courts. AOC could have handled it better by pointing to the statute that makes this clear, but Homan was simply dancing around the issue imo.

He was dancing around the questions when cornered. He could of simply told AOC at first he signed it but didn't author it. I didn't get why he made it so difficult.

That's fair enough, but that video obviously didn't include their entire interaction, and it's certainly possible she (or another congress person) did address it.

I read about this online today and did a quick YouTube search. I really need to start looking up some of the channels I post. It seems like everyone knows all the channels while I'm over here like, yeah I just wanted to watch a video. Haha

Now that I think of it, I do know what the Daily Caller is.

Gawd damn it. Out of all the videos I could have used I used a Ben Shapiro one. Lol

He didn't want to admit that he recommended the family separation policy in particular, notice how he kept reframing it as "zero tolerance" and he was simply trying to "save lives."

My interpretation of this exchange is that he was trying to avoid any answer that would play poorly on the news (such as confirming family separation policy) and instead answer in such a way that would produce positive soundbites.

Briefly, back to the OP topic. 2020 will be a no more excuses election. In a way we can excuse 2016 as an aberration, an election where just enough voters (80,000 in three critical states) so badly wanted a change that they blinded themselves to Trump’s character flaws. There aren’t any excuses anymore. There has never been a president with less common decency in the entirety of his life and personality. If his latest toxic appeals to racism are not disqualifying, what is? How much more proof of an ugly and vile character do voters need? There really are no more excuses. Any voter willing to vote for Trump now has their own character flaws to consider.

So nobody can answer my question about what to do with hundreds of thousands of people rushing to our border? Your own words, I'm not asking for lazy links.

Even if there were hundreds of thousands (there are not), that's a drop in the bucket compared to our population of hundreds of millions. We can allow them the latitude of letting the asylum seekers wait for their court date while they are in the country.
