Trump and Putin in Helsinki

Most Americans do not give a single **** about Russia. Campaign on health care, affordable housing, and better public education. This will do way ****ing more than Rachel Maddow preaching to her viewers about the optics of Russiagate
I would like to think/hope that is true but I'm doubtful of that.

I have literally zero faith in the Democrats winning in 2020. The only way they win is if Bernie Sanders secures the nomination, and the whole party gets behind this sort of rhetoric.
He shouldnt run as a democrat since he isn't one. It's weird that people don't understand why the Democratic party didn't want him to win.

I also don't think he would win either. He appeals to young people and they suck at following through and voting.

On a side note I would be very disappointed if he ran again. I don't like his ideas. A lot of sounds nice ideas until you dig into it. Plus he will just splinter a party or the vote if he is independent.

But he does seem to care about his principles and wants what's best for people, that's the part I like.

Hopefully a better candidate runs, but who knows.

Just like local elections right now someone will run on a **** Trump platform and get support. It's a terrible platform that will probably fail and if it doesn't we still get a **** candidate.

Public healthcare has 70% approval across the United States. Every other country has pulled it off.
That doesn't mean people care more about it.

Also if you do that poll with increasing taxes for it the majority won't support it.

I'm all for universal care. But not if my taxes pay for it.

We need to fix who is paying for things. Business need to pay taxes and we need to spend our money better.

bernie would have won. trash neoliberalist ideas that have done nothing for the middle class spanning back to the 70s have zero pull with voters right now.

if you're messaging is so ****** that you cannot point out how a marginal tax increase results in the net savings of thousands of dollars generally spent on health care & education year to year for each family, then you either a) don't belong in politics; or b) are a Democrat, and have overseen the era where the DNC has lost representation at every level of governance from State Senate upwards.

Also I'm not sure the number is that high for support of government paid universal health Care.

This shows about 30% support.

every single health care system in the world isn't purely single-payer-- it's always a mix of public and private insurance (splits are usually 70/30 in the developed world, with some variations and exceptions).

You cannot name a single progressive idea that Bernie has, that hasn't already been implemented in another developed country to overwhelming success. But, again, this is what propaganda does-- secures funding for insane imperialist military complexes and perpetual warfare, along with tax breaks for the wealthy-- while telling you that you can't afford to pay for healthcare

Bernie support was fueled by under 30. The least reliable voters in the US.

He might have won but Clinton losing had more to do with the FBI stuff, smear tactics, and other factors including being female than her actual policies.

1) Bernie Sanders has the highest approval rating of any politician in the United States across every level of representation
2) Clinton losing had everything to do with ****** messaging, ****** campaign strategies, and a reputation of being beholden to financial and corrupt interests.
