I say again, trump didn't want zelensky to sign the deal. If he did he would have behaved better leading up to today.

Of course trump doesn't want to re-kindle the deal. trump doesn't want to end the war because Putin doesn't want the war to end (if he did he could end it at any time).
What Putin and trump want is for America to wash their hands of Ukraine and let them fight Russia without American assistance. Both Putin and trump hope Ukraine gets slaughtered.
Then Russia makes a deal with trump to pay trump with money made from the rare materials currently in Ukrainian land.

trump wanted zelensky to decline. Then trump can just wash his hands of zelensky and stop helping against Russia. Then Russia continues to conquer Ukraine. Which is what Putin wants to do. (trump wants what Putin wants) Then trump can blame it on zelensky for not signing the deal.

Posted the same. It’s possible. Here’s video of some guy insulting Zelenskyy before they started. Either they blew it up on purpose (they sure were dramatic) or their morons. Both probs.

They ran the Tan Suit strategy back. They are outraged by Zelenskyy's outfit more than Trump being a sexual predator, so you know their outrage is real.

Here is a reporter on the ground in Ukraine talking about the mood in Ukraine. He mentions at the end that he was talking to a Ukrainian reporter about how she felt and she asked for forgiveness because she couldn't speak because she couldn't stop crying. They don't want your effing war. They are tired of dying, tired of having their lives destroyed. You take joy in Zelensky standing up to Trump on camera and killing the deal? Well, good for you.

That is what happens when neither side wants to fight. Things were different three years ago than they are now, but it appears you lot are going to get your continued war against the Russian invaders.

Great job sniffing out the grift to keep his country at war.

BTW...it wasn't grift. the deal was three birds with one stone, and none of it was to make America rich off Ukraine.

First, it put Americans in Ukraine as a trip wire trigger to prevent Russia from rolling in exactly as the small American force as Korea's DMZ does, but because the Americans weren't military the Russians would find it acceptable. Also, those Americans would cost less than our military as theoretically the operation would be financially self-sustaining.

Second, it provided a source of income to rebuild Ukraine's infrastructure and economy. It is cheaper for us to develop a mine than it is to rebuild a country Marshall Plan-style. The morons in this forum who think Ukraine should make the deal with Europe instead don't understand that it would be even better for us as that means Europe is paying for the development of the mining interests to pay for the rebuilding of Ukraine instead of us.

Third, it defangs China just a bit as these are the same materials they have a commercial monopoly on and it would be nice to have this mining operation to mess with the price they are able to charge.

What Zelensky did yesterday had nothing to do with sniffing out anything or not wanting to let Ukraine be exploited. Rubio tried to get Zelensky to sign this agreement 6 days ago in Ukraine. It was Zelensky who insisted on traveling to the United States, to the White House, and doing it on camera. Trump didn't summon him. It is now apparent that Zelensky insisted on doing this at the White House in front of American cameras to embarrass Trump. Mission accomplished, but I don't think he counted on the backlash and now he's trying to walk his clout-chasing back.
