It's difficult to be compassionate towards someone whose arrogance and self-entitlement has probably caused the unnecessary deaths of thousands of Americans. He deserves what he has, and I hope he gets very sick. I never heard a word of compassion out of his mouth when his supporter Herman Cain, who went to the rally in Oklahoma, came down with the virus and died. The man is a monster with not an ounce of decency, and you saw that on display during the debate.

Remember that dumb *** kid on Tik Tok who licked the public toilet bowl and ended up in the hospital - no one felt sorry for him. Trump has been metaphorically licking the public toilet bowl for months now only with a lot more followers and a lot more influence than that kid. Additionally, he's been mocking people or threatening to withhold funding from institutions for taking precautions that he deemed unnecessary. And now I'm supposed to send him my thoughts and prayers? **** him. I don't wish death on anyone; but like someone said earlier - if he dies, he dies.

At least we won't have to worry about our hundreds of millions of dollars in debt ex-president selling our secrets to Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, etc...after he leaves office - which will definitely happen.

Show me the guidelines then. There is nothing written in stone regarding nominations. There certainly is about sitting presidents. If there is a written guideline I'm obviously asking to be enlightened, but as per your usual, all you know how to do is belittle. It's like you are perpetually in jr high school. Sad really. If it happened before the election, it would be up to the party to pick someone, but they probably couldn't get new ballots printed. If it happens after, but before the electors are sent it gets even more confusing.

So for the 94%, all 94% would have died anyway had there not been Covid? Keep in mind underlying conditions could be as simple as obesity.

Imagine them both passing away on election day. It would sent it all into chaos. Pence would become president and they would likely have to push out the election a good 6 months for each party to get their bearing.

The part I wondered was could they do this at all, or would the election proceed with whoever was on the ballot? Would we end up with a third-party candidate because they got the 3rd most votes and therefore won the election automatically because the others died? Could be crazy.

If it happened on election day, they'd still count the votes that were in. If Trump was winning, Pence would still take command. If Biden were winning, Harris would be inaugurated.

New VP's would have to be chosen, but yeah, that would be pretty crazy. Probably just another reason we shouldn't be electing politicians late into their 70's for high-profile positions.
