Twitter feeds leading up to the draft

Humor me once more. Who are the 5 '20 a night' guys?

My point is, if you have a top 5 pick, you have to try to hit a homerun. Your team sucks. A "does the dirty work guy" isn't going to help that. If I were drafting in the top 5, you have to shoot for the stars or get a known commodity. That is why I don't think what the Blazers are rumored to be doing is that crazy. If they don't love who is there at 6, why not trade 6 for Millsap. He averages close to 20, gets you 10 rebs a night, is affordable. That is much smarter than drafting a guy that may or may not turn out to be Ronnie Brewer.

I am torn on the Jazz trading 6 for Millsap. I do think I do it though, especially if they see something in Lilliard (and I think KOC has been a very good judge on PG talent. He has drafted Williams, Williams, Maynor, signed Watson and Tinsley, Lopez looked to be a very good draft until he got hurt, Arroyo did well in the role he was put in. PG has never really been a weakness on KOC teams). It's a risk for the Jazz, but with how young the Jazz are, it is a risk that could really pay off for them as well, especially if they feel like they will be priced out of Millsap's FA.

Also, I get your point about there not being other 20 a night guys, but if I were a GM, I would not risk my job with a MKG pick.

I like a little trash-talk, but that was not that .. came off as sour grapes and punkish to me .. mainly the former. Guarantee you that NO GM's will place those quotes in the + side of his equation.

You didn't like the comments about Drummond?

Really? I don't mind it...if the tape shows he can back it up. If the tape shows he isn't as good...well then, that is a major negative.

I do like my talent to have a little fire, a chip on the shoulder.

No. He chastizes Drummond for 'talking too much' lololol ..

He must be conveniently forgetting him trash-talking during the NCAA tourney against UK yelling into the stands, "This is my stage!"

I don't like his comments, seem incredibly immature and even more ill-advised. Let me ask you this.. do you think his agent said, "Good job, atta boy" or "STFU, you stupid dumbass."

Yes, I agree .. I really do .. that's why I didn't mind the Cousins 'Call me' stuff, for example. It's different to publicly and singularly call out a good and well-liked player and simply say they're not that good. My opinion, but wildly stupid stuff by Royce.

So much for Milwaukee needs an experienced center.....another plausible Big Al destination gone.

Fran Blinebury: Rockets keep tip-toeing up in draft. Send Dalembert and 14 pick to Milw for No. 12, Livingston, Brockman, Leuer. Now own 12, 16, 18

well first let's see what their plans are for dalembert. he has a team option with a 6/30 deadline, so i suppose there's a chance milwaukee just made this deal so they could opt out and save some money. not a great chance, but we'll see.

also, even if they keep him, sammy d probably isn't starting C material anymore. just came off averaging 7 and 7 with houston, and being shuffled in and out of the starting lineup because mchale wasn't happy with his wavering effort level. they have ersan ilyasova, dalembert, and a bunch of bench-worthy big men. might still be in the market for size.

The news we have all been waiting for......

Jerry Zgoda: Kahn says "you can be sure more changes will be made." Can't say how many or what type...

Is Adelman losing his death grip? Will we see a return of the old Kahn who amassed draft picks and point gaurds like a prepper grabbing Malboros?

Wow, pretty stupid comments by Royce White. Way stupid, actually. Whether he likes MKG or not, it's dumb to publicly blast a guy that is loved by most everyone in the nation.

Yeah, that is pretty weak. Gentlemen this is why Royce white is not going to last in the league and is not a lotto pick. He is mess.

Here's the thing. They're not getting Dwight. Well, I guess they could for 82 games but he's not staying there. Why? Because Deron's not going there. So acquire all the draft picks they want but they won't use them to get Dwight for more than a year. Now, Big Al on the other hand. Big Al for #12 to get Marshall. Then, trade Burks and the GS pick for #5 to get MKG.

Making our core Favors, Hayward, Kanter, MKG, Marshall and Millsap? Hell yes.

burks + GS probably doesn't get us in the top five, though. maybe it would if we used the TPE to some bad salary back, but sacto doesn't really have a lot of bad contracts. the three worst are probably salmons (2 yrs 15.5M, then a team option year, but they like him), hayes (3 yrs 17M) and garcia (2 yrs 12.5M, but half of that is a '13-14 team option).

so getting MKG might be a pipe dream. but if they could get to marshall without giving up anything other than al, hell yeah.

favors - kanter
millsap - tomic
hayward - carroll
burks - (hayward)
harris - marshall

I love all of those players individually, but that might be the worst shooting team in the history of the NBA. Marshall and MKG will never be 3 point shooters, Hayward may or may not get better, the bigs can't shoot either....while each of those players sounds great it would be a disastrous lineup shooting the ball.
