The new jerseys make these look silly. Goodbye to the western font. Welcome back tradition. Good work Jazz!

Not sure if or why some haven't noticed but a lot of other teams already had a logo, team name or city/state on the butt of their shorts, I honestly never thought a Jerry Sloan coached team would ever have them but then this is marketing so if it helps the team sell more then good for them.

For whatever reason, they sort of remind me of the Pacers' uni's.

Can't wait to see them in the lights of the arena, though.

I like them better than the previous uniforms. I think they should have made the logo either a little bigger or more spread out. It looks too small on the chest. Also the UTAH JAZZ thing on the *** of the shorts is seriously lame.
The name of the team on the butt thing is for the ladies. Now when their husbands/boyfriends accuse them of ogling the players, the ladies can respond, "no, I was just trying to read what it said." Similar to the "I just read the magazine for the articles" excuse that guys have been using for decades.

And bluenote...while I agree the old uni's weren't ideal, your choice of players/numbers likely skews the opinion. Yes, I definitely will be glad we won't be seeing the blue #5 any more. And I wouldn't be too heartbroken to see the #47 gone if it means the Jazz get back a cheaper, better starter.

Other teams do that? I've never seen it, but I'm not looking that closely either. I guess I have heard that UNC puts it on their shorts.

Guilty as charged. But honestly, I was never really a fan of the most recent jersey's- just liked them because they were at least safe and replaced the copper, purple, teal/blue disaster.

I started noticing 1-2yrs ago more and more teams having it because an announcer commented on it and how he didn't like it the idea of putting the teams name or city/state on a players butt. If I get unlazy enough I might look for examples but the teams I remember are the Nuggz, Raptors, Hawks and Bobcats and I'm positive there is more but those ones I remember seeing.

If you don't like that answer I can go this route, lets just say I have an inside source.
