This, people put too much into him and saying he was the next Pau Gasol.
I mean, if his supposed 4 year EURO contract ends when he is 28 and he is a superstar over there, he may think "Hey, I'm dominating over here. I want to try the NBA now." That would be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath.

But no, I wasn't expecting anything at all. He's never been committed to coming over.
Funny, took about 3 years for Splitter to come over, then Popovich decides not to play him. Hard to questions Pops, but this was definitely a mistake.
It probably has more to do with he would make less money and get less playing time and not be as popular.
I wonder what his buyout option is on that contract. Maybe he gave himself a decent way out?

His team lost and he only had 6 rebounds, but he led his team with 23 V's. Does anyone know what a V is?
Walt Perrins remarks this week were not encouraging, when do we give up on this guy?
V is their player efficiency type rating so 23 is very very good. This was his last game of the season it looks like. They lost in the semis. Time to hit the weight room and come on over if we go small in the draft.

My whole Tomic expectations were rooted in the fact that the Spurs liked him a lot. I never had the delusion that he would come over here and rip it up, but I thought he could be a decent backup at least. I think it's kind of a bummer we won't be able to see what he can do.
