I think Rubio was just repeating what Quin had told them before the series began. After losing by +30 I wouldn’t be surprised if Quin backs away from it.

What do you guys think of Steve Kerr, does he just have it easy because of the roster or is there merit to managing the different characters on the Warriors?

Anybody can coach a team with the greatest shooters ever.

    Here is the game plan.

    Shoot the ball Steph.
    Shoot the ball Klay.
    Shoot the Ball Durant.

Wow. Look at that. We won.

Id bet my life I could coach a healthy Warriors to win the championship.

He could be a good coach. But with him coaching the Warriors nobody can really answer that question. He has experience as a player that was coached by a great coach (Phil Jackson). But I honestly think the Warriors could be coached by their Janitor as long as he has a basic understanding of rotations. He's coaching personalities, not exactly coaching the strategies and development of others. Luke Walton even looked good coaching them in Kerr's absence. He went to L.A. and his rotations were all over the place.

Defense will change. Rubio and snyder want the rockets staff to think they will keep the same defense.

It's a good question but it's also a bit complicated. I think he's the (or a) right guy for that situation. I believe that too often whether or not someone is viewed as a good coach or a bad coach ends up falling on variables that may not be as relevant to their coaching. Then again, I guess it really depends on what we mean and what, exactly, we're measuring when we say "good coach." If Kerr were coaching, say, Charlotte or Atlanta, what would people think? Probably would be fairly indifferent. What if Jim Boylen were coaching the Warriors? Probably a bad combo. Anyway, Luke Walton was present for the historic GSW run, which guaranteed him landing a HC job, but does what he did (or, rather, what he didn't get in the way of) in GS really translate into something he'd have to (more actively) do in another situation? Who knows.

Tl;dr I think it's more about the right guy for the right situation, rather than trying to create some type of objective measure of "good." Many players fall into this category, too, as they may appear great in one situation, but terrible in another, and vice versa, which is why I advocate overall fit.

Taurean Prince might be a guy we talk to the Hawks about. 24 years old. A long 6’8”. Hit the 3 at about 38.5% the last two years combined on solid attempts. And I feel like he could be attainable. Hit the corner 3 at 47% two years ago. If we feel like he can play some 4, he could be a good get.

We need another player who can create his own offense far more than a stretch 4. Ideally from the wing. I don't know why people are so desperate to find more spot up shooters who can't create. Shooting is always nice to have, but it doesn't solve our problem. Like Korver is one of the greatest spot up shooters of all time. We added him and the fundamental problem still remains.

Isn't he the draft pick the Jazz gave up to get Rubio or Bell? I like him a lot but if it was why didn't we draft him.

I believe it was the pick the Jazz traded to get Hill.

Pick up Favors option, and trade him and our first rounder this year to Atlanta. Makes sense for both teams to me.
