The Jazz are dead last in defense this preseason but 6th in offense! That's some progress at least!

If Walker and Lauri are playing, we won't be dead last. That lineup with the three 7-footers mucks up the paint. Before that we were playing Nurkic and Kevin Love at the 5, which is like giving guys a gift basket to score at the rim.

Team Promotions:
  • Ace has been promoted to 6'9"

  • Isaiah has been promoted to 6'4"
  • Walt has been promoted to 6'4"
  • Lauri has been promoted to 7'1"

By themselves, these work, I suppose, if we go with the add 1.5" for shoes rule of thumb and then round up when possible from there (with the possible exception of Lauri, who's official without-shoes measurement doesn't exist, to my knowledge).

It's the lack of consistency across the whole team that sticks in my craw (yeah, I'm old).

Ace at 6-9 and Anderson at 6-8 with exactly the same combine measurements? Tonje at 6-4, same as Clayton? Filipowski at 6-11 if Lauri's going to be 7-1? Love and Niang at 4 inches apart when the combine measurements showed an exactly 1" difference? Etc.

I just saw these updated on ESPN.
