Utah Jazz vs Washington Wizards - Monday January 17th, 2011

Just a garbage effort. The 3rd quarter actually bothered me much more than the 1st. To get all the way back and then just lay down again was a kick in the nuts.

Deron Williams posted on his Facebook that everyone should honor MLKJ today by volunteering - it's only reasonable to assume the Jazz were up too late volunteering last night and didn't get enough rest.

Very disappointing loss. To many passengers to overcome the deficit. Dwill great. AJ good. Memo showing more positive signs. The rest were way to flaky and inconsistent. AK is so frustrating isnt he - so good some times, invisible the next.

The Jazz did their best to honor Martin Luther King Jr. by shooting themselves in the head.

...didn't see any part of the game....but from the box score, it looks like our defense was absolutely PATHETIC! Despite the Wizards having almost 20 turnovers and trying to GIVE us the game....our defense was so porous that it didn't matter! We had a managable amount of turnovers and a good amount of assists. But must have been playing Boozer defense all game long!

Ho, hum. Another uninspired loss by the Jazz. They've been slightly above a .500 team after their 15-5 start. On pace for about 50 wins. And that's exactly where they should be given the roster.

I think all of us really need to adjust our expectations. I was excited thinking Raja would be an adequate replacement for Matthews, CJ could be a decent 6th man and AK would flourish as a starter. None of that has transpired. And I wouldn't call Hayward a "bust," but he's certainly not able to contribute much right away. Millsap and Jefferson have been o.k., but there's no one behind them. There's a reason Utah could sign Elson; he's just not that good. Hell, he may not even be as good as Collins.

KOC needs to make a move. When you have 2 ineffective starters for half the games (Bell and AK) and a wildly incosistent 6th man (with no options behind him except the 2 mini-mites), you're going to lose 50% of the time.

7 for 22 and 9 rebounds from the sg & sf position isn't going to cut it. Jazz have a good 6th man - AK, a good vetran bench guy- Bell, and a 9th or 10th man-CJ, who should only play when the jazz are down 20 and need to shoot their way back into a game.

Its also clear that Milsap struggles against the longer/ taller pfs.

Can the Jazz trade AK for 2 starters and a back-up pf?
