Personally, I prefer Battlefield to Modern Warfare. Just my two cents. BFBC2 was the first online shooter that I played with regularity since Quake 2... that's how good it was. And yeah, I don't really see a point in getting both. May as well get one and stick to that.Yeah I don't have the time like I used to and can't in good conscious buy every game I think looks cool anymore. So I'm torn between MW3 and Battlefield 3 myself plus when going back and forth between the two especially when playing online always messes me up cause the buttons are just different enough, so I was thinking of only getting one of those two.
Also anybody heard or know much about Rage I was trying to decide if I should get that or Resistance 3, guess I should get the blockbuster online and play games that way for the ones I may not play online or not play after beating.
Of course have to save room for a RPG style game like Demon Souls and maybe one other RPG game.
Haven't bought a B-Ball game in like 4 years. They just don't interest me as much anymore.Watched my bro play the BF3 beta last night, game looked incredibly realistic. Definately a buy from me.
Also who's grabbing 2k12 on Tuesday? PS3 gamertag- prodigy22

I did recently buy the new NHL game, though (NHL 12), and that one's pretty fun. I still prefer watching NBA to NHL, but for whatever reason I find the hockey video games more entertaining. Maybe it's because scoring a basket in b-ball is pedestrian, but scoring a goal in hockey is always an event.
My brother tells me that the controls have gotten looser and looser ever since 2K9, and that in the recent versions the animations are so long and uninterruptible that it feels sometimes like you're watching more than playing. That's just his opinion, but I tend to trust his judgment on these things. In any case, I'm simply not that interested.Dude, the jump from NBA 2K7 to 2K11 is unbelievably profound. If you haven't given it a whirl yet I highly suggest you do. It was considered as the best sports game of the decade when 2K11 came out in 2010.
Does anyone have a take on Rage? I can't decide if I want to get it. It looks a lot like Borderlands and Fallout.
I thought Rage was more of a straight forward shooter as opposed to open worlds like Borderlands or Fallout, but maybe I'm wrong. The game looks good, but I'll be passing until next year some time. Too many other great games coming out that have more appeal to me.
I haven't played Borderlands myself but from the commercials I thought it had a similar feel to it. But yes Rage is one of the reasons I bumped this thread myself. I searched to see if it had a demo to download but I guess not as I wasn't able to find it. Hence me thinking I should do the blockbuster thing to test if it's worth buying but I was hoping to avoid that.I don't think it's open world like Fallout, but more like Borderlands.
Besides, I was philosophically against that whole ridiculous Jordan thing they did last year. He'll always be overrated in my book.
