Video Game Thread

seems like a good place for this post...

In somewhat related news, video gaming apparently is now a competitive varsity sport at a few colleges and some - including Robert Morris University in Chicago, alma mater of Jazz legend Othyus Jeffers - are even offering athletic scholarships to talented gamers.

Shadow of mordor's review scores surprised me for sure. It seems like it's the first truly satisfying next-gen experience. I def want to play.

But it's not exclusive, right? Most of these games are still coming out on the older systems. That's why I haven't taken the plunge yet.

Has anyone played lords of the fallen? just traded in shadow of mordor and debating picking this up or waiting for dragon age....

I'm so excited for Dragon Age. I'm big fan of Bioware's earlier RPG's--Kotor, Dragon Age: origins are some of my favorite games. Dragon Age seems like a real return to that.

Kotor was amazing. Played that so many times. Jade Empire and Kotor 2 were OK for me as well. Dragon Age origins was good. Excited for Inquisition.

I've heard the online play is Diablo III'esc, it will be interesting to see how it plays. I was planning on getting the game as soon as I heard they were going to make it, I am curious how the online part will play, I know it is totally separate from the story and that there is no PvP.
