Also, on a Per 36 basis Kessler is just killing it. Here is his rebounding highlighted. Leading the team by a decent margin with Vando. His scoring is about 13 per 36, more than Vando. His other stats all hold up, with his blocks off the chart at nearly 4 per 36, and highest FG% on the team, granted with fewer attempts. At per 36 he would fully be a starting center, by these stats at least. I, for one, feel he needs more minutes, first to help him develop and second to see what he can do with it.View attachment 13376
Kessler is also 2nd in BPM for the team, behind Lauri. Lauri and Kessler seem to lead in most advanced stats, or be at least in the top 3 or 4 on the team. Everything points to Kessler being a net positive on the court. Where, looking here at PER, everyone from Olynyk on down at barely at, or in fact below, league average. The only ones over 20 are Markkanen and Kessler. Bottom line, Kessler needs more minutes and Markkanen needs to be more of a focus on the team in general.
