Warriors and Jazz Mega Trade

Question: I am not sure if really relevant here but I don't want to start a new thread just to ask this.
Other than the Jazz's own pick and now GSW pick, does the Jazz have other 2014 draft picks from whoever?
Thanks.

No. Jazz own no other picks.

I've not been on all day. Ugli gave me a couple tidbits.. so what ie the trade exactly? Are the exact details known?

After all the posts, it does seem to be nothing but positive (other than the offers we didn't see...)
.
- we traded Murphy AND our cap space to do this. So letting Millsap and Jefferson walk is a worthy strategy. We have heard many times on the board the complaining about letting folks walk. Well, with the sign-and-trade have less value than in the past, then trading a player for pure cap space (PM + AJ +MoW) seems to be as reasonable strategy as trading them.
.
- As SLC noted above, i think Biedrens is a worth 1 year tryout. I don't know his personality, but his game could very well be a nice complement. And, adding my Jazz colored glasses, Utah is a place to get a re-birth. I generally trust the org to accomplish this if there is a personality fit.
.
- NOTHING of this look significantly positive for GSW. Can you really believe that Bogut can be healthy? Curry? Great player, but breaking down at this age means its over. Also, i'm with all of you who noted that the warriors have bad mix of players. While i agree there is no way any two picks in next years draft will move you to one of the potential superstars, it is great to have the extra asset. But there is a chance that both Jazz and Warriors suck next year. And it is IDEAL in our plan that 2017 gets an extra pick. This IS the SPURS model. The plan is that by then, 2-3 of our core are a legit "Big 3" and then we simply need a tailored draft pick to keep moving forward (at rookie scale contracts.)
.
- Rush - he's an unknown qty to me. i'm glad there is some optimism there. Someone noted above int he thread that he is GOOD ON D. I'm elated about that fact if true. A good wing defender seems to be the key. Someone in one of the recent billion posts noted that the bulk of the stars are at SG/SF.... then BR is the answer.
.
Finally, the idea that the Jazz have expiring contracts at next years trade deadline is an asset. I'm shocked that the Jazz traded cap space for "cap space + first rounders" Unbelieveable. Add to that the tryout element for 2 players (i'm counting out Jefferson) and whatever the 2nd round assets are (not sure) this seems to be completely, utterly, no brainer. If they don't have any takers at the trade deadline, then that same cap space pops back up for FA or more lopsided finanical trades.
.
The only way this isn't a no brainer is if i understood any ohter options available. And since i'm ignorant to that, then i'm in Jazz fan bliss.

Utah Jazz had to use its cap space no matter what. Would you guys have preferred they sign Paul Millsap, Mo Williams, and some other person for cap space instead and not get the picks?

I agree this was a smart move. I couldn't take see Mo, Foye and even Millsap take playing time and money from our young guys. The expiring will allow Utah to also extend Hayward and Favors.

I'm just now getting some into on this trade...... holeeeeeeee... this is way bigger than draft night.. I am so damn impressed with the FO.

Raping right now. Wish I had been around today.. no idea what the 45 pages say. Hopefully all ecstatic.

Sadly, it's not. But time will tell.

Every one started off in a panic, Thriller may have committed suicide, then we found out about the picks and Rush. Some people were elated, others said we should have gotten Barnes. Then reality hit and we realized we got two unprotected firsts in two amazing drafts by a fringe playoff team. Most people love Lindsay again. The rollercoaster ride of a Jazzfan.

Pretty clear Jazz knew about Millsap and Hawks when they made the deal with Warriors. Sign and trade options for Al and Paul didn't exist

Well if they couldn't swing a sign and trade, then this did the trick,
