Any deal with the Jazz would likely have to include Barnes. There are just so many free agents the Jazz could offer money to rather than waste it on GSW's bad contracts.
That said, adding Barnes to the mix with our young players would be a step forward.

to be perfectly honest if Howard would commit to sign with the gsw. the jazz are the perfect trade partner.
gsw is sitting at about 71 mil.
to be able to offer Howard a max contract they would have to shed about 35 mil.
bogut - 14 mil
Richardson - 11 mill
biedrins - 9 mill
Barnes - 3 mill
that would have to be the trade.
gsw is left with
