I'd like to add that I think favors is great. I second what Cy said that I'd like to see him slim down a bit. I think he is plenty big and slimming down could make him just a little more durable and agile.

If Trey Lyles makes us better or as good as Favors did then trading Favors for talent at another position would help us move forward. I would like to see Favors play with a real point guard and I'd love to see him get a call every now and again.

I would not trade Favors for a pick and other filler stuff... it'd have to be a knock your socks off type of offer at this time. If we can extend him and go into next season and Lyles is deserving of more time then it would make sense to more actively pursue a deal to balance the roster.

You can easily get enough time for 3 big men. Just because Lyles becomes good doesnt make Favors a must trade player. Wasnt that the same backwards *** thinking that informed us to let Millsap walk?

No. They let him walk to make the GS trade and to tank for a better pick. Still unclear whether Hood + next year's GS pick + the difference between Dante and a mid 1st is better than Millsap, although that's probably not the popular opinion here; Jazzfanz posters still generally grossly underrate Millsap.

The Jazz are still in need of talent. Jettisoning talent primarily to make space for another player would be a mistake. If you can make a deal that improves the roster, great. No need to force a deal.

Well my point is: Just because Lyles is good doesnt mean you have to get rid of Favors and letting Millsap walk in free agency was a giant *** blunder.

I really like Lindsey. But I think he underestimated Millsap by a fair bit. This team with Millsap would be pretty special.

I dont see how we couldnt both sign Millsap and do the GS trade. Would we not have the cap room to make the deal?
