No, a lot of times you see it in those leagues because the owner wants someone they can fallback on if they fire the HC. Not every team gives complete hiring power of the coaching staff to the coach.
And yes, I read the whole thing. It was a lot of garbage.
Jesus, you’re completely and utterly wrong. Look at an NFL staff. On many teams, there are 2-3 ex head coaches. Sometimes more. It has nothing to do with a fall back. It has to do with hiring guys who are really ****ing smart when it comes to the sport and can really coach. Just perhaps not at the HC level as that is much more administrative.
