What's new

We signed Emmanuel Mudiay

Locke gave some history/insight into Mudiay in the later part of his podcast today. I came away thinking that development work with our coaches may actually help turn him into something.

He’s probably spewed the same crap about Rxum for five years now.

Dude this is well articulated ..........
But if you don't think the animus against Dante is real - I don't know what to tell you.

Lottery picks bust and not work out all the time - but here there is a special intensity about him. A real sense of pleasure twisting the knife.

I get that Exum still being on the roster is part of the problem with people's frustration, but for such a huge part of the fan base they appear to lack any semblance of empathy and seem to think Exum is unplayable because of his injuries. I prefer it when people just thought he sucked and didn't deserved minutes over Mack, Neto, Chris Johnson, Lilsap etc.

I think someone picked up on it earlier - its the fanboy element on here (and elsewhere) which I think has riled up the hate toward him.

Hate is not found in wanting to move on from Exum - it's the way this is spoken about and the 'told you so' ******** which emanates from so many posts.

I think fans are pissed off that DL is still saying **** you to you all and your sunk cost blah blah.

"and seem to think Exum is unplayable because of his injuries"

No. That literally the definition of unplayable. There is no thinking or opinions about it.

So it got tougher for X, he has to fight for minutes. Remember, he was starting on his first season in the NBA and doing fine too especially defensively. Not sure if he'll stay and if he does, how many minutes he'll get. They added MEM's franchise player in Conley first, and then surprisingly brought Mudiay in. Then there is this JWF dude everyone is talking about.

Mudiay is in no way any threat to play ahead of Dante. As for the rookie taking away his minutes, that's even more ridiculous. JWF will be fighting just to make the team.

The only fight Exum will have is to remain healthy.

He's on a one year contract. Jazz aren't going to invest too much in him, and he will only see the floor as he earns the time.

I don't get it either. It's like people enjoy ******** on him and mostly for things he has zero control over. Oh well... there always has to be a scape goat. I guess it's his turn this time around.

It's also cute how people think Mudiay is better than Exum... Exum with half of his tendons, knee ligaments torn and shoulders broken is better than anything Mudiay has ever shown in the NBA.

Yep. Same idiots last year said Grayson Allen would be a better player in his first year than current Dante. Kinda weird how dumb people never learn their lesson.

I also don’t get why people are arguing about our pg’s. We have Conley (complete pg, potential Hall of Famer) Exum (high prospect but injury prone) and Mudiay (solid backup) We haven’t had this much depth at pg in a while. We should want Mudiay to be competing for Exums minutes. It’ll only make Exum play harder and make him be on his game.
