Wednesday 9/11 FIBA game thread

Good job Myles Turner... good job...

I didn't mind, as I thought Turner would back up the talk.

I think jokic getting roasted by 39 year old skola was enough for me.

Pretty much, anybody who watched the game shares this sentiment. Kemba walker 1/7 all game thought it was his time to get hot. But he kept brick laying and taking long *** 2s that would make snyder lose his ****.

That was really annoying to watch in the 4th.

Mitchell could have gone for 35 - 40 points, and he was getting people looks.

So watching this whole tournament for a lot of us must be the exact inverse of what a couple fans here usually do, where it’s all about the national team and they just follow the teams that their NT guys play for and get conflicted about who to root for when they go against each other. For them, the NBA season is exhibition.

It’s all about that Larry O’Brien, and it will make it that much sweeter when it happens to have set that as the ultimate goal from the get-go, rather than being secondary to anything.

Also, Gobert is our best player, though I realize most people here know that, even though superficially Donovan gets all the pub. Hopefully this helps him solidify his “brand” and gets him more cred that’s owed him.

Also, I’m not sure if it will be on ESPN+ or not but US plays Serbia tomorrow at 5AM just as an FYI. Not that the game is meaningful really but still some more experience for Donovan.

Yup. Rudy’s greatness is in that he’s all about doing the things that WIN basketball games

I felt bad for Donovan. Dude carried USA for 3 quarters and his teammates (specifically Kemba) didn’t even look his direction in the 4th. Inexcusable he didn’t get the ball more. Congrats to Rudy. Both our guys played great, Donovan just kinda got screwed imo.
They all knew Donovan was gonna bolt from team USA the second the NBA season started. He's all about the bright lights of the NBA, despite all the positive things he's said about FIBA.
