What's new

Wednesday 9/11 FIBA game thread

Well, I didn’t watch this game, but based on people’s comments, I’m going to say I’m really happy how the summer worked out. I like Harris and would have thought it would be a good get, one possibly out of our league, but I viewed him as overrated (think how little anyone cares about him currently or how little a difference we think he makes on Philly) and certainly wasn’t going to take us over the top. I would have liked Kemba because of our absolutely anemic offense, but there’s a lot of draw backs for sure, and I think people were forgetting that when we gunned for him. Apparently this game shows that. It’s amazing the summer worked out how it did, because Conley alone is equivalent to either of those moves, all things considered (meaning comparing what we give up in salary and renouncing people to sign Kemba/Harris, vs. what we have up to get Conley). The fact that we somehow pulled Bogdanovic out of this is amazing.

Conley > Harris.
Conley > Kemba.
Bogdanovic = Harris.
Conley + Bogdanovic?

I wouldn't say they are crappy. They won every game before this one. They are still one of the best teams in this tournament. The rest of the world has gotten better.

Ya it's crappy compared to our Olympic team but in comparison with the rest of the fiba teams this team USA is actually still very good.
Good win for Rudy and France

They are a crappy team by US standards. Probably would have been beat by the 2004 team.

Miles Plumlee is on the team. Miles. Plumlee.

hahaha, told everybody that this team is one of the worst, probably even worse than 2002. And yet some idiots here said they will win all games in double digits. Props to Rudy and France for dominating.
