Do you think people who joined his team, like Elon, Nicole, RFK and Tulsi, none are traditional republicans, can help him focus on policies, keep the tone positive, and helping Americans?

I’m probably wrong here, but I think he understands that without these people, he would have lost; he might actually try to be a better leader because of his new team.

This is my hope at least.

He will discard every one of them the second they bruise his ego. Trump is all-powerful now and he will run this country like the dictator he's been given the mandate to be.

We can hope that's the case. I'm concerned that the billionaires rallied so hard to get him elected with promises of cabinet positions and such, when we already have the most lop-sided distribution of wealth and highest national debt ever in our country. To me that doesn't bode well for how we handle finances over the next 4 years.

It would really suck to be poor or even middle class. This will accelerate the redistribution of wealth.

I honestly can't say. I'm extremely bitter that after Jan 6 and all the other BS this psycho is back in office. America has jumped the shark.

This is my biggest problem with all of it. He is a known insurrectionist and no one seems to care or are willing to do anything about it. He's a convicted felon and no one seems to care or are willing to do anything about it. He's about to pardon himself placing him effectively above the law. It's ridiculous and should be an unmitigated outrage to any American who believes in the Constitution and rule of law. He is riding a corrupt supreme Court to immunity he doesn't deserve when his actions caused deaths and disrupted a free and fair election.

I am still just in shock that this is what so many people want our country to be. Mind-boggling.

At the end of the day, Wall Street, the military-industrial complex, US exceptionalism, and White Supremacy won. But these forces were backing Harris to some extent too.

No matter who wins, the above seems to always win. The problem is the acceleration under an R admin. I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm really concerned for the future of social security and the cost of medical care in this country now. We could see both set backward by decades. Social security is so critical to a majority of our aging population that any threat to it should constitute a national crisis. And if it ends up being dissolved or even greatly reduced it will be a crisis. We are already so far behind all other developed nations in our medical system that this also constitutes a crisis. We can only hope that he doesn't try to dismantle both of these. Imo these are huge threats we just aren't taking about.

Dude, it's crazy. DJT is objectively a terrible candidate. Which just highlights how obviously the Dems are doormats with no juice. Ineffective, status quo Neo-lib ******** governance for decades, and ****** campaign after campaign. Trotting out war criminals and objectively ****** people like Bill Clinton and Liz Cheney. Like who is that for? Who looks at old *** pedo Bill Clinton and says, yeah that'll get me off my couch to vote. Berating Arab Americans.

Beating a guy like Donald Trump with all of his baggage should be a forgone conclusion IMO. His candidacy should be a non-starter, but this is the world we live in. He managed to get people to believe that his 4 years was better than Biden's and win the damn argument. It's that bad. It's refreshing at least to see no posts from the nevertrumpers about election fraud and how the election was stolen etc.
That's another silver lining with trump winning.
If Harris won then we would certainly be seeing a bunch of posts about how the election was stolen from trump. Nice not to see that garbage.

They've been finding out for the last year, It's not like Israel can genocide any harder. BTW, if Harris signaled early that she was open to an arms embargo if Israel doesn't restraing itself, she flips the election with these people.
