You presented a silver lining a little bit back. In four years we can elect Mayor Pete instead of deciding if we want to re-elect Harris.

I watched a video he was in a day or two before the election where he took on 20 "undecided" voters and countered all their arguments for not voting for Kamala. He is smart, sincere, knowledgeable and a very good communicator.

Now I just need to learn how to spell his last name without looking it up.

Are we sure that gays can be presidents? They’re basically a black. Working class slobs hate the blacks.

I'm hoping that in four years, Mayor Pete is still in prison for political corruption. Although if I'm being honest, I do have to admit that his BS helped our side more than it helped yours. A major reason why Elon Musk switched from being a democrat into backing Trump was the corruption of the Department of Transportation. It wasn't the only reason. The corruption at the FAA and the threats to exert control over Twitter / X played a big part, but the DOT stuff came first.

Here is a clip from CNBC three years ago where an interviewer asked Mayor Pete why Telsa wasn't included in the meeting of American EV manufacturers hosted at the White House. Mayor Pete had no answer other than to misdirect, because there is no answer. The snub wasn't because everyone forgot that Tesla made electric cars. They aren't stupid. They're crooked.

If he's learned to be a bit less of a corporatist, I am down for it. But I think the DNC will decide they can't take the risk of a minority candidate and put their weight behind Newsome.
