Parking at street-level. You also have more expensive alternatives such as basement parking or multistorey parking structures. The problem with surface parking lots is that they are ineffective in the use of space plus they become heat islands and a source of polluted stormwater runoff. When in excess, they could encourage driving in detriment of other modes of transportation. Around the 60s many US downtowns/main streets were demolished and redeveloped in favor of large parking lots, reducing the attractiveness and commercial viability of these areas. For example, Tulsa:

OKC won't have a team before long.
1. Thunder is the only organization in the league that makes it hard to grab season tickets.
2. David Stern promised Seattle OKC would never win a title.
3. Paul George will be on the Lakers next year with LeBron
4. Westbrook will demand a trade and LaVar will make sure Westbrook is on the Lakers.
5. Billy Donovan is a $hit coach.
