What's new

Wendover, the town that stays up past 10pm sometimes?

This is really weird because my dad had an uncle who made a fortune in the Philippines and he was very close with LDS leadership. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he played a major role in opening the missionary program there. We used to go to a big Christmas celebration at his house every year when I was young. But their family did not own casinos (or at least, they never said anything about it if they did).

I wouldn't expect them to brag about it exactly. It was in the 1970s. I heard about it from folks around.

lived in Tooele stateside, had a better house in Davao I think, another in Manila. Showed up for missionary reunions even.

Wow. This sounds exactly like my relatives. I had no idea they owned casinos. This family is completely unrelated to the family I was talking about that caused you to bring this up, though... at least, as far as I know. How strange.

well, consider my sources. co-workers at the mag plant who lived in Tooele and had also worked in the casinos.... and a long time ago. Maybe they buy and sell stuff. Exactly like all their other business activity.

a nice daughter about my age. I didn't have the courage to break ranks with the street people.....

look in your mailbox for a link.
