What actions do you associate with a below average IQ?

Underrated post of the thread.

OP's question: Never getting an education above high school, yet think you're right about everything, regardless of who you're talking to. On top of that, not realizing the aforementioned fail until you're almost 34.

FML.

Or also believing because of your 'education' you're smarter than everyone else. Unsure which is worse, tbh.

I resemble that remark.

I can state unequivocally that education is much worse, but not for the reason you imply, that being the tiresomeness of the unrelenting intellect, or optimist, or for that matter, troll.

"In much knowledge is much sorrow".

They're both the same, tbh. Just depends what you hear more of, and it differs from person to person.

I know my college years have made me smarter-- but not purely because of "the course content". It's mostly been self-instruction, which is quite conducive in a college environment-- like if if was working full time over the last 3 years, id be way less smart I think.

So college DID make me smarter, but how much can be attested to my actual enrolled courses, is something that is interesting to debate

I think some have misunderstood my statement. I in no way implied that someone with an advanced education hasn't advanced their knowledge. Nor did I imply that because one has they are an intellectual elitist jerk.

I was simply saying that there are people who have advanced degrees, that have tons of book smarts/factual knowledge, but never advanced their social skills nor intuitive living.. yet, quite humorously, feel they are elite.

Most uneducated people don't walk around acting smartier than thou.. nor do highly educated folks.

My statement was simply pointing out that the uneducated have not cornered the market on being unduly obnoxious.

(Very similar to the religious and non religious.)

Well my dad could beat up your dad.

Who remembers that childhood taunt?

We need a childhood taunt thread.

I know you are but what am I?

That's what I thought I turned this into with my prior post.

Your mom made more beautiful babies than my mom, Moe.

Completely agreed.

For many, higher education can be a means of veiling insecurity in many forms, whether it's poor social skills, difficult upbringings etc.

Blanket generalizations on "the uneducated" and the "educated" are both equally inaccurate, and annoying to me.

You said it more simply than I did. lol

I don't even know what intelligence is.
One important and influential theory holds that there are multiple areas of intelligence: verbal-linguistic, mathematical-logical, musical, visual-spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal/intrapersonal, ect., and that everyone has their own blend of these abilities based on culture and circumstance. The various IQ texts have always been a poor means of measuring intelligence because they stress limited areas and abilities and place way too much importance on reaction time to simple cognitive tasks.
