What are your top 3 places to hang out in SLC?

Coming back to town for a week and a half or so. It's weird, every time I come home, it seems like things change just enough that Salt Lake seems somewhat new. Like last year, rather than an extensive hole in the middle of downtown, there was an extensive hole with a brand new high rise in the middle of it! Truly amazing... So I wonder, where are your favorite places to go in town? Anything new and cool?
 
From my experience in Salt Lake... granted I've never lived there.

SL Library is solid.
Trolley Square is pretty keen.
Gateway.

I've heard The Urban Lounge is a pretty good "hipster hang" if you're into looking like a douchebag.

Hey now, there's some pretty decent shows at the Urban Lounge...even if most the people there are effing weirdos. Gateway is solid, The District is really coming along, and the Library is cool, but not what I'd consider a cool hang out.

I guess it really depends on what kind of things you're into doing, but there are several of those "not your average hang out, but still a blast anyway" kind of things to do out here, even if they aren't considered a "hang out". There's a lot of chill places in Sugarhouse and downton SLC, but my favorites are all of the adventure spots. I like to do the whole scary places thing a lot though.
 
If you're into outdoor stuff and want to do something a little off the beaten path you can try Bonneville Seabase.

It's a relatively unknown gem here in Utah where you can go scuba diving or even snorkeling in bodies of water that are full of sharks, rays and tropical marine fish. It's like a little inland ocean. Pretty cool actually.
 
It has been a minute since I've done the SL bar scene, but recalling:

Piper Down
Burt's Tiki Lounge
Lumpy's (Just not the one downtown)

I enjoy The Depot as a venue for live music.
 
Sorry but from the looks of this list it's no wonder no free agents want to come play here.

Then see a show at Kilby Court.


Definitely check Memory Grove/City Creek, as the creek is about as high as Jimmy Fallon right now.
