This thread is such a LOL. Utah has one of the best, if not THE BEST team in the world right now. Bogdanović started out the season slow (as expected) then had a run of couple of weeks where he played great and now has had couple of bad games. Which Utah won. People who honestly think he should be traded for Gordon or anybody, honestly, dont know **** about basketball. And you dont deserve the team you have right now. By the same logic, next time Bogdanović hits 7 or 8 threes in a game (which will happen for sure, since there are so many games in the NBA) he should get a max contract? That makes no sense at all right?
Lets say you trade him for Lavine. What kind of a player Lavine is? Similar to Mitchell, right? Young, athletic talented guy that can score. That sounds great. But problem is that both Mitchell and Lavine are volume scorers that need to take 20-30 shots each game to get to their stats. So instead of a great team basketball thats all about passing and making the right play, you get two shot chuckers. So you would have KD and RW during OKC time, two guys switching playing 1 on 5.
Bogdanović is a smarter player, when he has it going he can give you 25-30 easily, but when his shot isnt falling, he is not gonna force it just to get to his numbers. Hes already proven himself as a valuable player in the best legaue in the world. He has been a starter for IND (which was a playoff team) for 2 years and has earned a massive contract and a position as a starter for one of the best teams in the league, UTA. He has nothing left to prove on a personal level, he doesnt care about his own stats and percentages (he has been snubbed 3 years in a row for a 3 point contest), all he cares about is his team winning .
Guys like Mitchell and Lavine are still too young, they dont think like that. They have the whole world ahead of them, they are thinking about becoming allstars, superstars, their own numbers and their own game. But in the end, none of that **** matters, its all about who wins it at the end
Bogdanović deserves one or two playoff runs with this team, people underestimate him and seriously have no idea how good he is in important games. During his first season in IND they matched up against Lebron and Cavs in the first round of playoffs. So that IND team, with Oladipo (who was allstar once or twice) and Bogdanović (who was never an allstar) as their two first offensive weapons pushed that Cavs team to 7 games with Bojan being a primary defender on Lebron(seriously, watch those games and defense they play on Lebron). That same Cavs team destroyed TOR in the second round in 4 games (and this is a team with Lowry and Derozan, both multiple Allstars) and made it to the finals in the end.
So yeah, you might wanna give this Jazz team one or two playoff runs when everybody is healthy before you decide to trade everybody away, you might just get a championship out of it
