Looks like they’re going to have to pull some surgical shenanigans until then.By January, we’ll be about 34 games in and say 17-17, and it’ll be too late to tank.
Is there a JLIV?The Jazz need to sign JLIII as a player.
JLI would probably be best.Is there a JLIV?
Or banking on not being UNlucky.we were banking on being lucky.
I stated multiple times that this thread is not about how likely it is the Jazz will be that good. I just think it's an interesting hypothetical. These hypotheticals after 4 games... The Jazz had a very easy schedule so far and will still have weak opponents for the next three games. After that there is a long stretch of games against strong teams. Also, at the moment almost all our players of consequence are healthy. I don't want to put a curse on the Jazz but it would be extremely unusual for Lauri to finish the season without missing 20-30 games.
I know that we are all excited because the team looks much stronger than last season but there is a lot of space between going 17-65 and being 0.500.
I feel bad for Hardy but just promise him this is the last year. Next year we will do everything we can to build the roster and help him succeed. All you can do is try and cut the fat. If it's a player who is not here for the long haul and not a prospect, trade/bench them. This way, if you do lose out on your picks it's at least at the hand of your future roster. Guys like Nurk and Svi are providing so much value compared to a tank commander. Don't think Hard Willy will want to do that though.
What is exactly interesting about discussing the hypothetical that is never going to happen? It's like discussing what should the Jazz lineup be after Collier is back and his shooting improved over the summer to the Curry level. Or if Karl Malone decided to come back and he is somehow in his 1995 form: at what position should the Jazz play him and which sets should they run?I stated multiple times that this thread is not about how likely it is the Jazz will be that good. I just think it's an interesting hypothetical.
