What vodka is best for the money? (New years eve drinkin)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Stolichnaya or "Stoli." That's my wife's preference, but she normally buys Bartons because to mix with juice there isn't a huge difference from one vodka to the next. I think Bartons is the best of the cheap vodka.
I also like Five Wives vodka and will buy it for my wife if it's on sale.
A good friend of my wife and I swears by Grey Goose and we have another friend that won't drink any vodka other than Belvedere.
There can certainly be a difference, but Vodka is very unique from other liquor in a very fundamental way. With pretty much all other liquors what makes the better examples better is the flavor they have. With vodka the better it is the less flavor it has.

Oh, and I'll through out there, I'd take Bartons over Absolut any day of the week.

When I am out of Utah I usually get the big Kirklands brand Vodka since it is the same as Grey Goose.

Thats the stupidest thing I read on this thread. So if I drink few shots of straight vodka couple times a year I am alcoholic, but if you drink two screwdrivers every day you are just fine?

Drinking straight vodka is not exclusively Russian thing. Kevin O'Leary for example drinks just straight vodka and he is farthest thing from Russian I know.
Popov tastes like cat piss. I love that stuff straight out the plastic bottle. I use to sneak shots when I was 10 an I would water the bottle down to hide what I done.
