What's new

What would you give up for Brandon Knight?

then we Sign Cp3, Al Farooq Aminu, and Dwight Howard

we can play

Cp3
Burks
Muhammad
Favors
Dwight

With Knight, Aminu, and Kanter as the super subs, and we can give Marvin a towel like Patty Mills

and wed have #14, #21 and #46 too

Why stop there?

We should also sign Lebron, Durant, Melo, Duncan, Lillard, and for kicks, the Jimmer

are those guys available?

theres a few other FA's on the market that i think fit well

Jarrett Jack, Aminu and Byron Mullens would be less expensive, and i think very effective here

obviously CP3 and Howard would be much better, so until they are signed im including them in my best possible scenarios

Dwight and CP3 aren't coming to Utah. Period.

I'd trade Marvin Williams for Brandon Knight (and whatever garbage Detroit has to toss in to make the salaries work out).
I wanted the Jazz to move down and draft Knight, but fortunately, they wouldn't take my call in the war room. Knight has been a disappointment in Detroit with his shooting woes and lack of assists. His A/TO ratio is terrible. May as well bring back Mo, who with all his chucking, still shot better and passed better than BK. Marvin Williams would be the ONLY player I'd consider trading for Knight, as long as the other throw in salaries were mostly expiring.

Why make a special attempt to get Knight? He hasn't shown that he's even an average combo guard. If he ends up developing into something like an above average combo guard then maybe making an attempt to pick him up would be something to discuss. It seems sometimes people on this board fall in love with a guy pre-draft for what that player may be, his ceiling and refuse to look at reality that this player is nowhere near what they had fantasized about. It's normal, look at the Jazz picking up Marvin for what they dreamed he'd be pre-draft, while refusing to look at what he'd already done in the league. Which was nothing, very similar to Knight. I know a lot of people on here liked Knight pre-draft, but you gotta let that go, it was a dream and luckily we took Kanter.

Agree with everything but the Marvin assessment. I don't think KOC had any delusions about Marvin becoming an all-star. He was picked up as a decent defender who could hit the 3. And I still maintain he could have been a pretty good acquisition for Utah HAD Ty just used him in the offense and run a few plays for him. Pretty hard to stand around all the time watching Al spend 7-8 seconds ball faking or trying to back down his man, throwing it back outside to the whichever guard was closest so he could then receive another entry pass and try the whole thing again. The Jazz had the absolute WORST ball movement in the league last season.

Only time will tell re Knight.

My money's on he'll struggle.

Similar prospects coming out of college Burke vs Knight. Both took their team to the Final game but couldn't win it. Both predicted to go in the lottery. Let's see who's gonna have a better career, my money's on Burke.
