First of all, much could have changed since 2007 and it seems though he has definitely honed his skills. Anyway, I had a friend who worked on the Fincher movie, Zodiac. When it was Jake's turn to film a scene, he rarely if at all hit his lines on the first take. It would take countless takes for his to "hit his mark" so by the end of the film, the crew had a nickname for him. Anthony Edwards on the other hand, hit his mark every single ****ing time.
I might go see it this weekend based off your postJust saw Jurrassic World. Anyone who doesn't like that movie is trying too hard. Dinosaurs, people getting eaten, acting not terrible, storyline...not amazing but not bad, Dinosaurs fighting dinosaurs.
Good waste of two hours. I'm not surprised it's breaking records. It just a good old fashioned good time. Great movie.

a good waste of two hours but I'll argue that it is easily forgotten in a week. Action scenes were fun but the human characters made me really miss the characters from the first one.
This what I'm talking about. You miss the characters from the first movie? Laura whatever was terrible in the first one. Howard is better than Laura. Pratt does a really good job. He is this generations Harrison Ford. Handsome, funny, tough. Great casting job. The villian from Daredevil does a good job as always (D'Onofrio). Jake Johnson is funny.
It's nothing ground breaking. It's not there to change your life. It's funny, I jumped in fright once, and I watched a huge swimming dinosaur eat a great white shark. And an epic dinosaur battle for king of the island. Wtf is there not to like?
Great movie.
I thoroughly enjoyed Ex-Machina. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a sci-fi/thriller. It's a cool concept and there's interesting dialogue throughout.
