I agree, and i would prefer to say, he is an offensively skilled big man, but he cant use his skilled as efficiently as he is supposed to. Thats what i mention about his basketball iq, his vision is poor, if he has 3 options in a position, he generally chooses the worst option and make a bad decision if he is under pressure.
Also he has a really bad mid range jump shot, so how much we can benefit from him in playoffs where everyone will be much more intense in defense and close the gaps under the rim.
Randolph had a perfect post season because he has lots of weapons, does Big Al have those?
However i still respect Big Al's offensive skills and i think he is very much above standard in offensive end among big men. But if i look at the Benefit/Loss ratio, while we have plenty of other big men, which are really good and promising, a big man who is paid 14 million per year and who has no plus on defense (except blocking) is more than expandable if we can get a good trade deal.
