Who Are Dead Men Walking?

Correct me if I am wrong but with Dante's injury we have 15 current contracts

Rubio, mitchell, Neto
Hood, Burks, o'neal
Ingles, sepholosha, johnson
Favors, jerebko, bolomboy
Gobert, udoh, Bradley

Until exum comes back the jazz have his spot and won't have to cut anyone.

I think you have to count Exum as one of the 15 even though he is on IR so someone has to go if my interpretation is right. The Jazz also got the party started by waiving Torian Graham. It sounds like he was in camp to potentially make him a Salt Lake Star.

Not how it works... someone must be cut. Read any of the people that report about the Jazz and it is well understood that one of Bolomboy or Oneale are getting cut.

With Griffin and Wolters getting the least amount of playing time in the preseason games I would say one of them, except they're already on 2 way contracts.

Dave Friedman mentioned, unsolicited, that Bolomboy would absolutely make the team. I was down at summer league and said something about him being in danger of getting cut and he scoffed (in a polite way) at the notion.

I don't know... maybe Royce is out. Jazz seem to be really high in Joel.

That was before the Jazz signed O'Neale.

Find it hard to believe the Jazz just gave away a million dollars to O'Neale just to get a look at him in camp.

Correct... and I am not sure of the circumstances of his signing. Like did they sign him because they didn't like what they saw in SL from Bolomboy... were they trying to sign him and he hadn't decided... did he require a guarantee and it was a true competition?

Bottom line is I will be shocked if they just gave him a million for a month's work.

I just sat next to Eric Griffin's gf on my flight back from Dallas. She's pretty cool and doesn't think he'll make the team.

Griffin is on a two way deal. He will make it... we'd be hard pressed to find someone better than him on a two way.

Money isn't a factor. Joel was fully guaranteed his 1.4 M on October 1st... prior to that it was $400k so either way they kind of new they were spending money on a guy who wouldn't be around.

Now they could trade Joel for a top 55 protected second rounder and have someone absorb his salary. Can't do that with oneale.
