Lavine or Jurkic? That's what I would suggest ...

Exum's injuries have been fluke injuries. Hood's have been more numerous and more chronic. I'm less worried about Exum's seemingly more severe but less chronic injuries, than Hood's more numerous and less fluky type of injury. His ACL injury was no contact and he didn't seem to land in a particularly awkward fashion. He also hasn't played heavy minutes for an entire NBA season, there is no evidence to suggest that Exum is durable.
Exam sadly is overrated and mediocre at best, most jazz fans judge him with our hearts but if we did so with our brain we would know we made a mistake in the draft selecting him so high.
Stupid post.
Had Mitchell been drafted a year earlier, he'd have his *** glued to the bench just like Dante did. Quin wouldn't have the luxury of letting a rookie turn the ball over 5 times in order to let him get into any kind of rhythm. Mitchell would have had a rough rookie year if he got yanked and benched every time he made a mistake. Dante has never had the opportunity to play through mistakes like DM has this year.
Mitchell has had a year of college and then found the perfect opportunity in the NBA on a team desperate for offensive production and also willing to put up with all the rookie mistakes. Dante came into the league with a very defined role on offense which was stand in the corner and try not to **** up. Then his 2nd year was half a year trying to get his body back to normal and the other half playing behind Milt Palacio, er I mean Shelvin Mack so that we could court Haywood.
Only the board's biggest mental midgets are taking Dante's first 2 years and trying to come to a conclusion.
Oh, and then there's the coward who hated the pick from the beginning. The gutless wonder who hid in the shadows while Dante was playing, and now dances and struts around just as soon as he got injured, because he knows Dante can't prove what a dumbass he is until he gets healthy again. No need to name him, as that coward knows all too well who he is.
In a way I think you proved my point about reacting with your heart by taking offense, usually people who insult by one post aren't familiar with my previous views about the matter, so yeah I wanted the best for Dante and believed the hype, yep he has some bad Injuries but hasn't proved critics wrong by underachieving and being so timid on offense. There is something called being real versus drinking too much kool aidStupid post.

Yep my bad ...Do you mean Jokic? Imagine we would have Jokic playing PF right now with his shooting and passing ability?
I get this view.
But I also wonder if this view is logical or that rational.
But I am not going to reiterate the defense for Dante. For those like MVP who dismiss him as junk, or you as overrated might be right. I for one think you are wrong, and my main point is you should hope you are wrong too. Cause the Jazz are clearly a few pieces away from being a serious contender.
Not like I have an issue with it or with your view on Exum personally, but I think you may be the biggest Dante supporter on here. If exum was so great as you think he is, why would the jazz bring in a Rubio ? Was it just because hearsay was that Hayward wanted him ? The jazz still wrestle and question Dante, thank goodness they aren't homers like you ? Exum still will be judged as a big question mark perhaps because he didn't show enough when healthy or because he has been hurt too much ? I think we would be in a better spot with drafting Lavine

I think Quin has been really slow to warm to Dante. Dante lacked (lacks) some fundamentals that hardened US high school and college players have. It's like Q couldn't relate to the rawness of Dante. Plus the Hayward situation etc, was a recipe for disaster.
Dude be honest with yourself. Has Dante ever been given the kind of freedom that Burke, Burks, Mitchell and EVEN LYLES was given?
All those guys have been given an opportunity to play to their strengths and play their position. Dante spent a helluva lot of time doing neither.
That's why this injury is even worse, because even the doubters (i.e. Quin) were keen to see Dante have an extended run at it.
I like Dante mainly because I believe he has an elite attribute. I'm not even sure DM does - but his off the dribble threes could become deadly.
How could you not love a guy that can get deep into the pain whenever he decides to. From there it is about reps - when to dish, when to take contact, when to finish with the left or right, when to dunk, when to take the little pull-up the defense gives etc.
And unlike you (seemingly) I think the FO can get it wrong. I still believe in Lyles tbh. But just because they brought in Rubio doesn't mean Dante can't make it.
Rubio is soooo lame it's unbelievable. His only offensive tool (passing) is being diminished in the pathetic 'gunner' role he is being enlisted to play now. What kind of genius coaching is it to take players away from their strengths and make them live in their weaknesses?? I mean that is some weird reverse psychology bs.
The Jazz have only themselves to blame (ok plus injuries) - they should have played Dante as an actual pg (you know, run plays etc) for a lot more minutes last year, and then they wouldn't be scratching their heads so much as to what they have in Exum.
Maybe Exum just doesn't have the strengths everyone thinks he does. I mean, we haven't really seen much of it on the court at all. And as far as being given freedom, that is a load of crap. You earn your freedom on the court. They play into PT and getting the ball in crunch time. Mitchell was on a leash the first few games, but he stepped outside that and took the time he wanted. Exum never did that, always played timid, doesn't show any fire. I am not sure he will ever pan out the way people think.
