You simply give those minutes to JB and you have an additional $10M in space to mess with next year.
I think the last place he wanted to be drafted was to Cleveland in 2003 although he made good and went back home to win them a championship after the Miami years.

JB has more talent than THT. There is no requirement that they have talent... ya just made that up. It simply has to be a prospect they want to find out about.

Go on ahead and look at their per36 numbers from last season (both players age 21 season). Just cuz a guy is different doesn't mean his ceiling is higher. If JB simply shoots it close to what he did in college he's a backup pg. THT is one of those guys that people talk about his potential and then say if he just fixes his shot, learns to finish, can move his feet a bit on defense then he will be a pretty good player... so if he becomes a player different than the one he is... cool. Also he's a guy that they are like "look he needs to play with the ball in his hands with shooters around him and then he can show his real potential". It ignores the fact that there are likely 5-6 guys on every roster you'd rather handle the ball.
Yeah, they both have to learn to do all those things. JB cant do any of that stuff at the NBA level. He cant even do it at SL level.

This isn't true... look at some of the guys OKC and Houston has marched out the last couple years. JB is on par or well above many of those guys. I mean if the Jazz went out and started some 24 hr. fitness guys that'd be quite the thing... its not remotely close to what I'm suggesting.
The Exum experience at least had the injury disruption to lean in and say there was still potential there. THT just got overhyped by the Laker's media and the nation media that hangs around.
He's actually LA Butler, overhyped 2nd rounders who are meh.
