I just can't see Gobert ever being a superstar. Great defensive player yes, but a superstar puts the team on his back and takes over games. That will never be Gobert. I hope the Jazz's best player in 3 years is not on the roster. Because if they are then the Jazz are a 2nd round team at best.

Not necessarily. There is a huge drop off in talent after Rudy and Mitchell, leaving plenty of room for team improvement.

I think people have Mitchel especially and also Gobert to a degree on too high of pedestals. Mitchell has a **** ton of potential, but his per is lower than Ingles and Hood. Rudy is great, but provides little offensively. I don't think either player is that much better than others on this team. And neither of them are close to as good as Hayward was last year. And as of right now neither of them are close to being a superstar.

Gobert provides a lot offensively in the right system. It's crazy to me that a fan could watch last year, see how dominant and impactful Gobert was with the right players around him, and think that he doesn't bring anything offensively. He was a very good offensive player last year, and with the right teammates he can be again.

Maybe, just maybe, the jury is still out on a kid that has a PER of 12, a negative VORP, an ORTG of 92 and a DRTG of 106, and a horrible ts%.

I'll cry if Mitchell's FTR ever drops below Burke's rookie year. It's dangerously close.
Not sure where you're getting the ORTG and DRTG numbers from. Mitchell's offensive rating is 103.4 and his defensive rating is 102.8. Even going by nba.com's less accurate measurements that use an estimated # of possessions instead of an exact amount, his offensive rating is 101.1 and his defensive rating is 101.6.
Mitchell's TS% is suffering because of an abysmal first few games. But in the month of November, it's at 52.1%, which is actually decent for a rookie shooting as much as he does.
