Still thinking Bogan gets more minutes with the 2nd unit than Joe. Joe thrive in the PnR and our back up center doesn't do PnR. 2nd unit needs someone who is shot creator and who shoots contested shots well. Bogan is better at both of those than Joe.

Maybe they both spend lots of minutes with second unit? Bojan doesn’t have a rich history as a passer. He isn’t leading the second unit as a playmaker. And, we don’t have a proven backup PG. Ingles is by far the best option as a second-unit playmaker. He won’t be lost or without a purpose because we don’t have Favors anymore. We can definitely used Bojan as a second-unit scorer.

Joe can get some playmaking ballhandler work on the second unit and having additional scorers like DM or Bojan in on those units will help him a lot. He got in trouble more when he had to force himself to be a scorer. Joseph English III is primarily a guy who likes to defer and make plays for others. He will miss Favs a bit but I’m not worried.

He can toggle between playmaking and spot up shooting/ball moving with our primary units. I’m not worried about him.

I’m honestly only worried about health. The individual guys I worry about are 9th/10th man types like Exum... Mudiay. I think we know most of what our top 8 are giving us.

Ingles starts, he just subs out early. He spaces the floor better than anyone and I think that's more valuable to start the game. I don't think he will be as tired as last year, his usage with the main line-up will be low.

This is my thinking as well. The spacing in the Conley/Mitchell/Ingles/Bojan/Gobert lineup is going to be unreal. If Joe doesn't start then that lineup likely only plays together the last few minutes of the second and fourth quarters. I think this has a chance to be one of the best offensive lineups in the NBA and we need to use it as much as possible. Just bring Joe and Bojan out a little early so they can go back in and play with the second unit.

Put ingles on the bench but close with him and play him starters minutes. Keeps him fresh, helps the bench squad, and I think he and bojan are a little small and redundant to play together a lot. It’s all matchup dependent though
