Who will replace Biden?

On second thought, it'll probably be Harris. Something to keep in mind is that, even with the debate fiasco, Biden outraised Trump in June and has pretty well been kicking his arse there. Assuming they can get someone to excite the base while appealing somewhat to the independent blocks (which Biden was having a hard time doing), it'll be interesting. If nothing else, the machine that Axelrod and Obama built is still impressive as hell.

Certainly not too late for an effective ticket. With it, the relief of no Trump v. Biden, combined with the continued super hyperbolic “doom and gloom and lots of anger” from Trump, continued emphasis on Vance’s amazing shape shifting political suck up act, the Democrats can win an historic victory. Youthful, fwd. looking ticket, they continue with TrumpSpeak, aka stream of consciousness gibberish, we got this, as long as a great performance from the ticket assembled.

Probably Harris at the top. But maybe an open convention too. Got to happen with least amount of ego clashes, too much at stake in November.

They can demonstrate real democracy in action, compared to goose stepping behind Trump. And youth, lots of independents, and everybody but MAGA will be relieved.

Calls for Biden’s resignation growing as well…..

If Biden left office it would give Kamala Harris a chance to do President stuff as a sort of an audition. Could be good. Could be bad.

So how does the process work now for picking the replacement?

We probably just get Kamala forced down our throats is my guess.

I wish they would just do a quick primary process. Put out a small handful of candidates and let them try to get as much publicity this week as this can to get their message out. The voters would Google each candidate and read their wikis. We would watch YouTube videos. Pretty easy to quickly consume information right now. Then we vote next weekend. Not ideal but I would prefer it over what will likely happen.
